Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a primary health-care profession, which specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and management of disorders of the musculoskeletal system. These include disorders of joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves.

Chiropractors take a holistic approach to healthcare, considering the physical, psychological and social aspects to a persons well being.

By restoring normal movement to the joints of the spine and limbs, function is improved to the musculo-skeletal system and nervous system. This can help relieve pain, discomfort associated with disorders caused by stress, accidents, poor posture, illness and everyday wear and tear.

Chiropractic treatment mainly involves spinal manipulation, which is a safe, painless and gentle manoeuvre, restoring movement to joints that are not functioning correctly. Other treatments used by us are mobilisations, soft tissue work/massage, stretching, taping, acupuncture, home exercises and lifestyle advice to promote healing and prevent remission. We also have a Extracorporeal Shockwave machine which is excellent for tendon issues (see Shockwave Therapy).

As everyone is an individual, we will tailor your treatment to what you require ensuring that you get the most benefit from your experience with us.
